NTE Beginner Guide

New to Neverness to Everness? Start here. This guide walks you through the first session — where to get the game, what to do first, how to claim free rewards, and how to build your first stable team without wasting resources.

Step 1

Download and start NTE

Neverness to Everness is available on PC, iOS, Android, Mac, and PS5. Use official download links to avoid modified clients.

Get the official clientDownload NTE from the official platforms: PC via the official site, iOS via App Store, Android via Google Play, or PS5 via PS Store. Do not use third-party APKs.
Complete the tutorialPlay through the intro quests. You will unlock the main city, combat mechanics, and the gacha system. Take time with the tutorial — it introduces mechanics you will use throughout the game.
Claim launch codes immediatelyGo to NTE Codes and claim all active codes before they expire. Launch codes often give free characters, currency, or materials that significantly help early progression.
Check in-game mailAfter completing early quests, check your in-game mailbox. Launch bonuses, event rewards, and code redemptions are sent directly to mail.
Complete daily missionsDaily missions are the most consistent source of gacha currency. Complete them every day even if you only have 10 minutes — they compound significantly over time.
Tip: Unlock Episode Quest First

To pull the Hotori banner, you must complete the Episode Quest "Prologue: A New Destination – Head to Eibon Antique Shop." Do this as soon as it becomes available if you plan to pull Hotori.

Tip: Connect to the right server

NTE uses regional servers. Make sure to redeem codes and play on the same server as your account. Characters and progress do not transfer between servers.

Avoid: Spending early resources randomly

Do not spend premium currency (Annuliths) before understanding the gacha and pity system. Save pulls for limited banners like Hotori's — they are often stronger than the permanent pool.

Spending Guide

How to use your resources wisely

💎

Gacha Currency (Annuliths)

Save for limited S-rank banners. Limited characters like Hotori are significantly stronger than the permanent pool in most cases and may never return (or take a long time). Avoid pulling the permanent banner unless you have saved enough for a targeted limited character.

Stamina (Energy)

Spend stamina on the most efficient activity for your current goal. Beginners should prioritize: Serenetti boss (ascension materials) → Houdinii's Schemes (skill books, correct days only) → Whisper enemy farming (common materials). Don't spend stamina on stages that drop items you don't currently need.

🪙

Beetle Coins

The primary upgrade currency. You will need approximately 2.27 million for full Hotori maxing alone. Collect through world exploration — don't ignore chests. Avoid spending Beetle Coins on characters you haven't committed to building yet.

First Team

Build one stable team first

New players often make the mistake of spreading resources across many characters. Instead, commit to one main team early and build that to a functional state before expanding.

If you pulled Hotori, she should be your main investment. Pair her with MC (free), Haniel or Aurelia (from her banner), and any healer for a functional beginner lineup. Follow the Hotori Team Guide for the full breakdown.

If you skipped Hotori, build around your strongest available DPS character with MC as a free synergy option. Check the NTE Tier List for current character rankings.

Choose your main carryHotori (if pulled), or your strongest DPS. This character gets the most upgrade priority first.
Add MC as a free supportMC (Main Character) is free and has strong synergy with Hotori's skill recording mechanic — an extra Esper Cycle rotation for free.
Add one support/utilityHaniel or Aurelia from Hotori's banner are accessible beginner choices. Look for a character with Support or Redirect Skills.
Add healing or safetyAny healer or defensive utility character. Surviving fights consistently matters more than slightly higher damage when learning.
Should I Pull Hotori?

Is Hotori worth it for beginners?

✅ Pull Hotori if...

You enjoy technical, rotation-focused gameplay. You have or can get Nanally, Zero, or Jiuyuan. You plan to invest in the game long-term. You want the highest-ceiling DPS character currently available.

⚠️ Consider waiting if...

You are very early in the game and need basic account progression first. You don't have other Blossom or Anima Espers to build her best teams. You prefer simple, always-on DPS characters over technical burst setups.

Hotori banner: May 13 - June 3, 2026

Hotori is the second limited S-rank in NTE. Her banner runs from May 13 to June 3, 2026. She won't be available again for a long time after the banner ends.

She is A0 functional — you don't need Awakening copies for most content. Focus on her build (Lost Radiance, Marching Beyond Time Arc) and team (Blossom or Zero lineup) first before spending on Awakenings.

FAQ

Beginner questions

What should I do on my first day in NTE?

1) Download and install from the official platforms. 2) Complete the tutorial and unlock the main city. 3) Claim all active NTE codes. 4) Check in-game mail. 5) Complete daily missions. 6) Decide whether to pull Hotori before her banner ends June 3.

Is NTE free to play?

Yes. NTE is free to download and play on all platforms. The gacha system requires premium currency for character pulls. Free players can earn currency through daily missions, events, exploration, and codes — enough to pull on limited banners with patience.

Where can I get the most Annuliths (gacha currency)?

Daily missions (most consistent), events (time-limited but high value), exploration milestones, story quest completion, and achievement rewards. Check for launch bonuses which often give a large one-time batch of currency.

Can I reroll in NTE?

Yes. Rerolling means starting a new account to try for a better starting pull. This is useful if you want a specific S-rank character early. The tradeoff is losing any progress from your first playthrough. Decide based on how much you want a specific character before investing time.
